He graduated from JEB Stuart High School, Falls Church, where he excelled in wrestling. He went on to receive his bachelor's degree from George Mason University and his D.D.S. from The Medical College of Virginia. Michael practiced dentistry in Stafford for more than 30 years. He spent a lot of his time and energy supplying love and dental care to orphans in Nicaragua as well as building and maintaining an orphanage and school.
